Game Day / Match information

Duration:

Usually 45 minutes (4 x 10 minute quarters)

Match venue

All matches will be played at Mornington Peninsula Netball Association: Hampden St, Mornington, 3931

Arrival time and match absence

Players must be at the courts and ready to start at least 15 minutes prior to their match start time. This allows players to warm up and coaches and team managers to organise teams.

If a player is unable to attend a game, please let the coach or team manager know as soon as possible. Contact details will be provided to players at the start of the season.

Fixtures

Fixtures can be found on the MPNA website or by using the MyNetball App.

Weather

In the event of extreme weather conditions (heat/wet), MPNA/BDNC may decide to cancel matches/training for safety reasons.

If this is the case, parents will be contacted as soon as possible via text and facebook. However, there is occasionally not enough time to contact everyone or contact is not able to be made, so if you are in doubt about the weather and you have not received a message to say the match/training is cancelled, players should go to the courts.

Scorers

  • Each team must supply one scorer for each game. Both scorers must stand together for the entire match and must use the Association official scoresheet.

  • Scorers must check the score (including addition) prior to signing the scoresheet.

  • Once the official scoresheet has been signed by both umpires, the score is final.

  • Team managers or coaches will share the responsibility for scoring across the playing group over the season.
